Main Characters: Madhuri and the Flower Demon
Thoughts: I love the way the author goes through Madhuri's grief from losing her wife, the strangely creepy yet brilliant child, the co-parent flower demon helping out. The familial interactions between the three of them are a delightful insight to the dynamics and slow burn in a fantasy world. Extremely short and easy read, it left nothing out and made me want to read the rest of the series. Amazing.
